In 2018 Lauren won the BBC YMOTY and went on to make her BBC Proms debut followed by many performances in the UK.  She began piano lessons in the USA at the age of four, moving with her family to Birmingham in 2010 where she studied in the Junior Department at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.  She began full time studies at Harvard University in 2020.  Her programme, built around challenging and substantial pieces by Bach and Beethoven, includes Liebermann's striking work calling for the full dynamic range of the piano, and ends with a Liszt “tour de force” transcription.
