Born in 1993 in Tbilisi, Georgia, Mariam first gained recognition in the International Franz Liszt Competition for Young Pianists in Weimar in 2011, before winning the 10th Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Utrecht in 2014.  In 2016-17 she was featured as a ‘Rising Star’ of the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO) and was a BBC Young Generation artist between 2017-19.  She made her debut at the Edinburgh International Festival in 2021 and has given several recitals at London’s Wigmore Hall where she will perform this exciting programme three days before playing in Darlington.
