Born in 1989, Mark began playing at the age of 11 before studying at the Purcell School of Music and the Royal College of Music, graduating with B.Mus first class honours in 2011 and a distinction in Master of Performance in 2013. He took 1st prize at the Alkan-Zimmerman International Piano Competition in 2012 and made his Wigmore Hall debut in 2018. He is particularly renowned for his critically acclaimed recordings which include music by Chaminade, Liszt, Thalberg and Alkan, with a planned 17 release on CD of the complete piano music of Alkan. Mark is Chairman of both the Alkan Society and the Liszt Society.
